It was a big week for Lady SonBlazer Volleyball, with two hard-fought matches and two five-set wins.
August 25 vs. Immanuel Christian
The Lady SonBlazers earned a huge win against Immanuel Christian — a team MVCS had never beaten before.
The girls came out strong and played well through the first two sets before struggling in the third and fourth. Instead of letting the momentum shift get the best of them, they regrouped and battled through the fifth set to come away with the win.
It was a great example of the fight and determination this team continues to show.
August 28 vs. Portales
Just three days later, the Lady SonBlazers were back in another nail-biter, this time against 4A Portales.
Once again, the match went all the way to five sets. The girls stayed composed, continued to battle, and found a way to finish the night with another big win.
A Week of Victories
Two five-set matches. Two wins. A great week for Lady SonBlazer Volleyball!
And the wins didn't stop with varsity — our Middle School A and B teams also brought home wins this week.
